Principals collaborate on investment analysis for all projects which includes all aspects of the
financial, market and property analysis. Collectively they oversee all aspects of CREV’s
development activities, including land and property acquisition, entitlements, design, construction,
project capitalization, disposition and investor relations. Principals sit on the Investment Committee
and are the end parties responsible for executing the business plan for each investment.
Chris is the Founding Principal of Cordova Real Estate Ventures (“CREV”). Chris plays a key role in sourcing off-market opportunities and following through on projects with got it keen attention to detail. Previously, Chris co-founded of Capital City Partners (“CCP”) where he led the development of over 600,000 square feet of retail space, 375,000 square feet of industrial, 120,000 of office space and 131 lots of land development in the Austin MSA. Prior to CCP, Chris was a project partner at Hill Partners, Inc (“HPI”) and had previously also served as a project manager for an engineering firm specializing in single-family developments. Chris holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University. Chris has over 25 years of experience in leasing, entitlements, design, construction and overall being a fiduciary to related parties on real estate investments in the Central Texas.
Mauricio G. Kane
Mauricio is a Principal at Cordova Real Estate Ventures (“CREV”). In addition to the above, he takes primary responsibility for company and project marketing, reviewing, improving and documenting business processes and tools throughout the company to enhance consistency and efficiency. Previously, Mauricio co-founded MXEQUITY (“MXEQUITY”), a firm that specializes in cross-border real estate investments between Mexico and Texas. Prior to MXEQUITY, Mauricio served at the Hines Global REIT (“Hines”) and at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas’s (“TRS”) real estate and private equity teams. Mauricio holds a B.B.A. degree in Real Estate Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. Mauricio has over 13 years of experience in real estate, deal structuring and day to day operations. He has been solely focused on Central Texas for the past 7 years.
Jordan is a Principal at Cordova Real Estate Ventures (“CREV”). Jordan is instrumental in sourcing new opportunities for the firm and has a keen eye for recognizing market inefficiencies and the resulting opportunities. Previously, Jordan spent five years as a Principal at Zydeco Development Corporation (“Zydeco”), developing over 500,000 square feet of industrial and creative office and leading the acquisition, entitlement and disposition of a 60-acre residential tract in north Austin. Prior to joining Zydeco directly, Zydeco was a client of Jordan’s at Aquila Commercial (“Aquila”), an Austin based real estate brokerage firm. At Aquila, Jordan gained valuable market knowledge while
representing landlords on an approximate one million square foot portfolio of industrial and office assets and representing tenants in their industrial real estate lease and purchase transactions. Jordan began his real estate career as a developer with Capital City Partners (“CCP”), gaining experience in the development and asset management of a wide range of product types including retail power centers, class-A office, industrial, and vertical mixed-use. Jordan also provided consulting services, in collaboration with Situs Group (“Situs”), on non-performing and high-risk collateral to banks across the United States. Jordan graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate Finance and a B.A. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin. Jordan has over 14 years in representing tenants across a wide range of product types and in sponsoring deals in Central Texas.
