Chris Whitworth

Partner

Chris is the Founding Partner of Cordova Real Estate Ventures (“Cordova”). Chris plays a key role in sourcing opportunities, leasing and operations. He has deep local relationships and a reputation of following through with meticulous attention to detail. Previously, Chris co-founded Capital City Partners (“CCP”) where he led the development of over 600,000 sf of retail space, 375,000 sf of industrial space, 120,000 sf of office space and 131 residential lots in the Austin MSA. Prior to CCP, Chris was a project partner at Hill Partners, Inc (“HPI”) and also served as a project manager for a civil engineering firm specializing in private development. Chris holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University. Chris has nearly 3 decades of experience in leasing, entitlements, design, construction and serving as a fiduciary to related parties on real estate investments in Central Texas.

Mauricio Gonzalez Kane

Partner

Mauricio is a Partner at Cordova Real Estate Ventures (“Cordova”) where he brings a dynamic approach to underwriting, operations and capital raising. Mauricio also takes primary responsibility for company and project marketing as well as for reviewing, improving and documenting business processes and tools to enhance consistency and efficiency throughout the company. Previously, Mauricio co-founded MXEQUITY (“MXEQUITY”), a firm that specializes in cross-border real estate investments between Mexico and Texas. Prior to MXEQUITY, Mauricio served at Hines Interests (“Hines”) and Teacher Retirement System of Texas’ (“TRS”) real estate and private equity teams. He holds a B.B.A. degree in Real Estate Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.

Jordan Smith

Partner

Jordan is a Partner at Cordova Real Estate Ventures (“Cordova”). Jordan is instrumental in market intelligence, sourcing new projects, leasing and operations. His local market relationships and his keen eye for recognizing inefficiencies are key to identifying dislocated opportunities. Previously, Jordan spent five years as a Principal at Zydeco Development Corporation (“Zydeco”), developing over 500,000 sf of industrial and creative office. Prior to joining Zydeco directly, Zydeco was a client of Jordan’s at Aquila Commercial (“Aquila”), where Jordan provided project leasing services on an approximate one million square foot portfolio of industrial and office assets and represented industrial tenants in their real estate transactions. Jordan began his real estate career at Capital City Partners (“CCP”), assisting in the development of a wide range of product types including retail, office, industrial, and vertical mixed-use. Jordan graduated with a B.B.A. in Real Estate Finance and a B.A. in Government from The University of Texas at Austin.

Graham Carter

Partner

Graham is a Partner at Cordova Real Estate Ventures and a veteran of the real estate industry in Central Texas. Graham has been involved in hundreds of transactions throughout his career. He has extensive site selection experience representing tenants such as JP Morgan Chase, 7-11, Outback Steakhouse, Carl’s Jr., Dollar General, Front Burner Restaurants and Dress Barn. His landlord clients have included Kimco, Lincoln Properties, InvenTrust, GBT Realty and Brandywine. Graham is also active in the acquisition of land for development companies and income producing properties. Past clients include Endeavor Real Estate Group, GBT Realty, Slate Residential, Trammel Crow and Manifold Development. Formerly a leasing agent at Weitzman and a graduate from Baylor University.

Mary N. Tarr

Accountant

Mary is the head Accountant at Cordova Real Estate Ventures and has over 25 years of financial management experience in financial reporting, accounting systems, supervision and procedures. Her varied real estate and construction accounting experience includes all areas in accounting including accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, cash management, project analysis, budgeting, entity structuring, tax planning, business plans, and cost allocation. She has managed over $100M in assets ranging in multiple projects from apartment buildings, retail, office, and raw land. Proficient in various accounting practices from private to corporate, from cash to accrual by employing GAAP accounting principles and reporting under Sarbanes-Oxley enables her to see the scope as well as the detail. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Accounting from Park University and is a member of the Pinnacle National Honor Society. She also is Texas Real Estate Broker since 1983.
